I'm new to this forum..I'm a telecommunication final year student.Currently i'm doing my final year project with vb.net. I need help on how we can directly receive and store sms in database (sql or oracle) from vb.net. I Hope you all can help me on this..Thank you in advance..

Actually, it's kind of storing sms in sql.but need to process 1st the received sms before store in database..Do you have any idea on this??

thanks for posting your problem here.

As I know any cellular company never sends the confidential messages to any where else excepting cell phone. I think it will only be possible when you contact your cellular company to provide such facilities, if exist to them.

One thing more...this might be possible with SMS Gateways. Gateway use to send the messages to any cell phone then there might be possibilities to receive message too. I think if you talk about this to Gateway company, they must will provide you some information on this. But remember this service what you are wishing will not be free of cost, they must will charge.

I can say above one confidently coz most of the companies uses to receive the message from the users to servers. Like as in Reliance, we use to call on *225. then sever replies "Thank You" and then mobile receives Balance information.

You should ask about this to Gateway Companies and Cellular Company about.
