I think you should start with the rookie tour offered by Pelland who's author of the beginner's guides for VB.NET. Otherwise you can find here a huge load of code and tipps and tricks. If you never touched an IDE or never did have experience with event-driven programming languages I'll suppose to have a look at some dummies text books.
